The City of Detroit Buildings, Safety Engineering and Environmental Department (BSEED) has received an Environmental Workforce and Job Training Grant through the United States Environmental Protection Agency.  Through this grant, BSEED is working collaboratively with Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation to bring the Detroit Environmental Employment Program (DEEP) to Detroiters. DEEP will train Detroit residents for environmental construction jobs. Program participants will gain the skills and certifications necessary to work in the environmental field. At the end of training, participants that successfully complete the training may be matched with employers for an interview.


•  Must be over 18 years old

• Must be a city of Detroit resident

•  Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

• Must be able to work outside

•   Pass a basic skills assessment

•  Unemployed/Underemployed

•  Pass a drug test

•  Must have a valid drivers license
